Modulalodge is a scalable, modular, timber-framed building system.
We manufacture in-house using local Scottish Douglas Fir and advanced CNC technology.
Modulalodge is engineered to comply with up to date building standards. Every frame is precision cut and predrilled so it can be assembled in days. All bolts and fixings are included along with detailed instructions. The frame is engineered to require no internal supports, giving a clear span. It may be kept fully open-plan or divided with internal partitions.
Once the Modulalodge frame is constructed, further building specification is just as flexible as the layout. It can be built to full residential standard for year-round living, as a comfortable office or gym, or finished more simply for a workshop, party barn or garage.
Every frame is built from locally sourced Douglas fir which has exceptional strength-to-weight ratio. It resists warping, twisting and shrinking. Its natural character and warm tone also make it an aesthetically pleasing timber to leave exposed.
Sarking and locally grown larch cladding are available as optional extras.
